Award Winning Other Rooms
As a serious collector my client requested I design a wine vault to store his various wine purchases both single bottles as well as cases and reach his ultimate goal of 3500 bottles. Additionally, he wanted it to be attractive when viewed through sliding glass doors that open beyond his poker table room. Built upon existing slate flooring I used two tones of Mahogany wood to create the furniture piece which is the focal point of the room. This provides the homeowners with a convenient tasting table as well as storage for glassware and dessert wines. Interior cabinet lighting highlights the Riedel crystal glasses as well as illuminates the work space below. LED ceiling fixtures provide an optimal balance of dimmable light to suit any occasion. Chili pepper-colored walls add just the right spice to this entertaining space.
